Who We are
Tanzania Cricket Association is sole governing body of cricket in Tanzania registered under the National Sports Council no NSC 5 in 1972.Tanzania Cricket Association is the associate member of International Council in 105 members countries in the world and among the 40 voting associate members of International Cricket Council.
Tanzania is ranked no. 6th in Africa and no. 35th in men’s T20 ranking Globally and Women’s are ranked 4th in Africa and 18th in women’s T20 ranking globally.
What We Do
Tanzania Cricket Association involve in the development of cricket from Grassroot to the Intenational level. We have 20 Centers invloved in the development of Cricket in Tanzania. We are aslo having program with the municipal council schools through the govement by conducting coaching course seminar to the school teachers and these teachers are independent to teach in their respective schools.
We have 42 clubs in total through the country playing structed. Players from the development program are getting equal opportunity to join the clubs.
Coaching & Development
Our programs are designed to establish a clear and progressive pathway for the players in Tanzania, from grassroots to elite levels. TCA provides coaches, training modules, drills, and certification programs, aimed at fostering cricket talent across Tanzania.
School & Club Involvement
Our school cricket initiatives are designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the game, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. By fostering strong partnerships with educational institutions and community clubs, we aim to cultivate a vibrant cricket culture that nurtures talent

2022
ICC U19 WOMEN'S AFRICA QUALIFIES FOR THE ICC U19 WORLD CUP
The young Tanzania girls put up a gallant performance winning the hearts of many fans and remained unbeaten in the round robbing. It lost to Rwanda in the finals for the first and second position, so many players were awarded trophies and medals.
KWIBUKA T20 2022 CHAMPIONS
Tanzania participated in 2019 in the annual Kwibuka women’s tournament held in Kigali and won tournament and where awarded trophies and medals which was presented to then former Ministers of sports Hon. Harrison Mwakyembe. 2020/2021 we didn’t participate due to COVID 19 Pandemic. 2022 June we participate again and had the honor of winning the tournament once again. So, Tanzania women’s Team won two trophies from 2019 up to 2022.
AFRICA CUP TOURNAMENT ORGANISED BY ACA
Tanzania earned a wild card entry at the eleventh hour and prepared itself to participate, the stood first in their group defeating a strong Kenyan side and entered to the finals by defeating Botswana in the Semifinal. After putting the reasonable score of 174 runs in 20 overs in finals against Uganda but lost in the last over to remain runners up of the ACA CUP 2022.
2021
ICC SUB REGIONAL AFRICA SENIOR MEN T-20 QUALIFIERS
Tanzania won the sub–Regional Africa Qualifiers held in Kigali Rwanda and was awarded a trophy, this victory enabled Tanzania senior men team to play in to the Regional Africa Qualifiers and followed immediately in Kigali.
ICC WOMEN'S T20 WORLDCUP AFRICA QUALIFIERS BOTSWANA THIRD PLACE
Tanzania was in third position to win a trophy in ICC women T20 qualifier held in Botswana 2021, There were many individual trophies won by Tanzania players one of them was Fatuma kibasu who won for highest number of runs.
UNDER U19 MEN TEAM WERE RUNNER UP IN ICC AFRICA REGION QUALIFIERS FOR U19 WORLD CUP
The team reached the finals unbeaten defeating strong Namibia and Nigeria sides only to lose against Uganda in finals
