Tanzania v/s Rajput Cricket Club

Although the weather being kind and friendly for the game, but the wickets are still damp and slow restricting the Tanzanian side to cross the 200 run margin on the scoreboard.

Tanzania played its sixth tour match against Rajput Cricket Club at Boston Manor Cricket Field. Tanzania lost the toss and were sent to bat first.

Tanzania lost their early wicket of Abhik Patwa in the fifth over with only 4 runs on the board. A good and well controlled batting effort from the left handed duo of Rishen Patel and Abdulkadir Dossajjee  put up a partnership of 68 runs which on the day proved vital given the conditions. Subsequently, there were good contributions from the middle and lower order batsmen who put up the final score of 192 in the allotted 45 overs game.

In defending their score, once again the Tanzanian duo opening bowlers Khalil Rehemtulla and Hamisi Abdallah broke the backbone of the Rajput Team by picking up 5 early wickets in the first six overs with only 5 runs on the scoreboard. The two spinners Athumani Kakonzi and Benson Mwita also picked up two wickets each to send the home team back to pavilion for only 58 runs on the board in 21 overs.

This becomes Tanzania’s fourth consecutive victory of their tour.
