T20 2008 and DRCC League
This tournament was
played with 12 teams divided into 2 groups. Team which participated
are AKSC , Academy A , Ekta , Dar Gym , Union A , Annadil A , Upanga
, B.United , Academy B , Union B ,Union C and Annadil B.
In the 1 st semi final Aga Khan defeated Academy A and in the 2 nd semi final Ekta defeated DSM Gymkhana. The finals Ekta scored 130 in 20 overs and in reply AKSC managed 98 only. The DRCC League have commenced from 15 June. The Leagues has been divided into A1 group with Academy A ,AKSC , Ekta and Dar Gym. In the A2 group Union A , Annadil , Upanga and Academy Dev.
While in B league
there are 3 teams B.Unied , Dar International and Union B.
In the opening
fixtures played on 15 june AKSC scored 63 all out aginst
Academy A 23.
while in the
second game Ekta scored 150 all out and in reply dar
Gymkhana managed 90 runs.
DRCC League Report 2nd Week (21/22 June 2008)
21 June
Union B v B.United.
Union B batted
first and scored 172 in 30 overs . Hozaiph bhallooo managed
to get half century and Mohamed Alloo contributed runs. In
reply B. United scored 110 all out. Shabbar Rattansi managed
to get 4 wickets and mehboob sumr 3 wickets.
22 June
Academy Boys v Dar ymkhana (A1)
Dar Gymkhana
managed to score 115 all out and in reply Academy Boys
scored 116 for 3 in 31 overs.
22 June
Union A v Academy Development. (A2)
Union winning
the toss elected to bat first and scored 237/4 in 50 overs.
Athumani Kakonzi scored 122* and Mohamed Khimji scored 42.
In reply Academy Development were bowled out for 67 only and
Hussein Mohsin of USC picked up 5 wickets and Mohamed Rahim
3 wickets.
28 June Bhatia United v DSM International (DIKDIKS) (B Division) Bhatia United batted first and bowled out for 143, In reply the DIKDIKS won by 1 wicket. 29 June Annadil Burhani V Upanga Sports Club (A2) Upanga Sports Club batted first put a descent score 187, Virender Kamania top scored with 46 and in reply Annadil Burhani were bowled out for 107
The DRCC T20 T1 was played between 6 teams who topped league chart
last season. The teams were Academy Boys , Aga Khan S.C. , Union
S.C. , Dar Gymkhana , Upanga S.C. and Ekta. The event was played in
round robin basis and the first 2 teams played the final. Academy
Boys and Aga Khan S.C. qualified for finals for this event and
ultimately Academy Boys emerged as winners of tournament. The Man of
the Tournament was Kassimu Nassoro of Academy Boys.
