Tanzania qualifies for the semi final after 7 wks landslide victory over Rwanda.

Match no 4. Tanzania v/s Rwanda.

On a windy and overcast day,Tanzania won the toss and elected to field first. Tanzania opening bowlers Kartik Sayal and Salimini Saidi bowled well with kartik sayal taking two quick wickets in the first power play with the opponent score of 18/2 in 4.1 over. Tanzania decided to bring in their spin attack of Dhrumit Mehta and Krutik Thakkar. Dhrumit Mehta took 3 wickets in his seven over spell with opponents score 64/5 in 19.1 over. Aahil Jasani and Mohmed Issa  took one wk each to restrict the opponents to score  134/8 in 40 th over. It was Kartik Syal who cleaned up the Rwandan batting line taking last two wickets in his 4th and 5th balls of his fifth over with Rwandan final score of 134/10 in 41overs of their allotted 50 overs.

In chasing the score the Tanzanian opening batsmen, Baraka Liaza and Salimini Saidi played hastily and could not stay at the crease. Salimini was run out and Baraka was out lbw in the third over leaving behind a team score of 10/2 in the first 3 overs of the power play. Gokul Das and Krutik Thakkar stabilized the game to build a small partnership taking their team score to 55/3 when Kartik Thakkar(21 runs) was bowled out by akayezu. Gokul was joined by Aahil Jassani in 12th over taking their team score to 114/4 in 19.1 overs when Gokul Das(29 runs) was out on a LBW. Kartik Sayal(9runs) joined Aahil Jassani(43 runs) chased the bal target to finish the game in the 22.1 over thus winning by 7 wks. Aahil Jassani was awarded the man of the match for his 43 runs and I wk.

Tanzania is placed second in their and will face Nigeria from group B in the semi finals tomorrow at the sewenes park ground. Tanzania will have to play to win to qualify for the finals.
