Tanzania faced Namibia for the third time in event to play for the third and forth position after not qualifying for finals narrowly.

Tanzania lost the toss and was sent to field first by Namibia. Tanzania’s bowlers dismissed the Namibia’s 6 top order batters in first 9 over’s with a score of 35/6. It was low order batter that took their team score to 85/6 in their allotted 20 over’s.

In chasing the target the Tanzanian duo openers Skipper Monica Pascal and Fatuma Kibasu started their innings comfortably acquiring the required run rate. Fatuma Kibasu(30) was caught out in the 16th over with the score of 61/1. Neema Justine joined Monica but did not last long and was caught out in the 17th over with a score of 75/2. Mwanaiddi joined Monica taking their team score to 83/3 in 18th over. Monica was joined by Perice Zakayo and was out on a lbw on the first ball with the score 75/4 in 19.3 overs. Suddenly the game became interesting to see Tanzania struggling for 1 run in the three balls. Zena Hassani joined Monica (34) to get the required winning run to complete a hat rick against Namibia. Tanzania took the third position in event.
