The  Muhimbili Cricket Academy has been fully operational from the very first day of its inaugural opening on 1^st Feb 2003. A permanent cricket camp is based at the academy on a six day a week basis. Both girls and boys of all different ages who have been identified from various schools by the development officers ( school teachers and coaches )gather at the academy after school hours for special training by the development coaches like Hamisi, Benson, Khalil and hussieni who have risen from the previous development groups and have gone through coaching courses conducted by TCA under the supervision of coaches Shafiq Virani  and Zully. These youngsters have proved to be knowledgeable with the laws of the game and have proved good coaches. Even their cricketing standards have also improved tremendously and for sure shall become very good future players / coaches. Their involvement and contribution towards the game of cricket is motivating many others junior players to a great extent.
