Tanzania Cricket Association is proud to say that it has initiated in organising this inaugural Africa women’s tournament which indeed is a historic event in the African continent and take this opportunity to thank KCA, KWCA, UCA, NCA, and NWCA for their strong commitment and cooperation to make this tournament a great success. The motive behind this tournament is to expose and promote the talents of our women in Africa and to see them playing in the Womens Cricket World Cup in the near future. I would also like to thank KCA for their commitment for hosting the forthcoming tournament in the year 2005 whereby even Zambia and Nigeria shall participate. This tournament will eventually turn into a biannual event as ACA CUP played under umbrella of ACA. It is my hope that this tournament will be played within the ethics and in the spirit of game so as get recognition in the international circles. I wish all the participating teams all the best of luck.
